Online trading firm Zerodha has added a new fitness challenge for employee members to a lengthy list of staff health-related activities.
CEO Nithin Kamath asserts that completing this challenge would reward employees with attractive incentives and that one fortunate participant could win 10 lakh.
CEO Nithin Kamath said the challenge would include burning at least 350 calories daily. The company’s fitness trackers will offer the option of setting daily objectives.
“Giving customers the ability to set a daily activity goal on our fitness monitors is our most recent health challenge at Zerodha. One month’s salary will be given as a bonus to anyone who meets their target on 90% of the days during the next year. One 10-lakh lucky draw served as a motivational boost.” Nithin Kamath said in a LinkedIn post.
According to Mr. Kamath, his company makes every effort to motivate employees to be active while working from home.
Given that most of us are WFH, sitting is the new smoking and is becoming an epidemic, according to Mr. Kamath. We are doing everything we can to encourage team members to move daily, preferably with the help of their families.
Along with a personal account, the creator of Zerodha also supplied a snapshot of a health app.
Tracking my movement has been the finest growth hack since I gained weight after taking COVID, and I’ve also been more aware of my nutrition. Gradually increased daily target to 1000 calories. My Sep now looks like this; it would be fascinating to see how others utilize activity trackers,” he wrote.
Zerodha previously gave staff members rewards for losing weight in April this year. A bonus equivalent to one-half of a month’s wages would be given to workers with a BMI of less than 25.
