Arunachal Governor Receives Additional Meghalaya Charge as SP Malik's Term Ends

As on October 3, when Satya Pal Malik’s current tenure ends, B D Mishra, the governor of Arunachal Pradesh, will also be in charge of Meghalaya, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Saturday.
According to a press release from Ajay Kumar Singh, the President’s Press Secretary, “The President of India has been pleased to appoint Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.), Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, to perform the duties of the Governor of Meghalaya in addition to his obligations from the date he assumes control of the office of the Governor of Meghalaya until regular arrangements are made.”

76-year-old Satya Pal Malik’s tenure ends on Monday, according to the press statement.
