King Charles "slims down" His coronation ceremony to forego the old customs: report

According to reports, King Charles III’s coronation will be “Slimmed-down” from his mother’s in 1953. The Independent reported that the future king’s coronation is anticipated at Westminister Abbey on June 3, 2023.
The day after the Queen was crowned, the monarch will finally be installed after nearly 70 years. There was a great deal of celebration during the Queen’s coronation, and more than 8,000 people were invited. According to Insider, King Charles prefers a low-key affair. According to the insiders at the palace who spoke to the journal, this involves reducing significantly the pomp and circumstance surrounding coronations in British history.

King Charles will be the oldest monarch in British history when crowned.

The coronation event is expected to have a smaller guest list and a more relaxed dress code. There should be more than 2000 attendees.

Additionally, it was stated that the ceremony would only take an hour. Less mysterious traditions will be used in the ceremony. Rituals like giving the king gold nuggets will be abolished.

Following a lavish burial service, Queen Elizabeth II was buried at Windsor Castle on September 20 beside her husband, sister, and parents.

The ceremony featured readings from the Bible by Patricia Scotland, secretary-general of the Commonwealth, and Liz Truss. She served as the Queen’s final prime minister of the United Kingdom just two days before her passing.

For the Queen’s funeral on Monday, downtown London’s streets were crowded with mourners. Following a liturgy attended by international leaders, a sea of arms held up cellphones in Parliament Square to capture the magnificent procession carrying the Queen’s coffin from Westminster Abbey.
