Russia may be "advising," according to the US, Iran to put down ongoing protests

The US suspects that Russia may be counseling Iran on how to handle the massive protests provoked by a lady’s death after being detained by the morality police.
According to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House is “concerned that Moscow may be coaching Iran on best practices to handle protests, based on… considerable expertise in repressing” opponents.

If the Kremlin has already given such an order, John Kirby, spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, was less certain.

He speculated that they would consider assisting in their efforts to suppress Iranian demonstrators.

Kirby also reaffirmed the claim that Iranian agents are in the seized Ukrainian territory to assist Russian forces in deploying lethal drones in a campaign targeting civilian infrastructure.

They are currently in Crimea to support that endeavor, he added.
