A groundbreaking launch of a brand new Apple store in Delhi’s Saket Select City mall on April 20, Thursday has left everyone wonderstruck. This is India’s second store after the first launch at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. The unveiling of Apple’s store in the National Capital Region was done by Chief Executing Officer Tim Cook at 10 a.m. at the Saket Mall. With this, Apple is all set to make its footprint in the Indian market.
The Apple store at BKC has a total of two floors, spread across an area of 20,000 square feet. The Apple store in Delhi is comparatively small and has one floor. Delhi’s Apple store runs on renewable energy. The Apple Mumbai store has 70 working professionals, who come from 18 states across the country. They possess the ability to communicate in 15 languages so that customers in any region can have full access to the amenities and services, without facing nay trouble.

Since 2014, all data centres, corporate offices, and retail outlets of Apple have been powered by renewable energy. Apple’s move has led to reducing greenhouse gas emissions reduction of about 52% from its facilities. The company roots the impending climate crisis and has significantly prevented nearly 2.1 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere.
What’s inside the Apple store?
The tables at Delhi’s Apple store are made of white oak. A special ‘Genius Bar’ at Apple Saket is the customer care version of the store, where customers can talk to experts for any kind of information or guidance they need regarding the setup of the device and get answers to all their queries.
A customized and dedicated pickup station for customers is also there for people who want to order online and later collect from the physical store. The today at Apple space is a round table setting that has a team of artists and creators who are there to educate and inform people about Apple products.
The store’s launch saw a huge crowd flocking at the all with the news of Apple’s CEO Tim Cook. He was given a splendid greeting with a ‘Band Baaja’. Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail, said “We’re thrilled to bring the best of Apple to our customers in Delhi with the opening of our second store in India, Apple Saket.” Apple has huge plans in India for expanding its retail and manufacturing. Cook also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and appreciated his visions about how technology can bring huge transformations in India.
