This oldest temple of Maa Kali was built inspired by the “Kalighat” Kali temple in Kolkata. It was established in 1935 with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as its first president.
The main sanctum sanctorum of this Kalibadi, known as West Delhi Kalibadi among the devotees, in which Maa Kali resides, is situated on the first floor. Lord Shiva’s abode is near the Garbhagrih.
The Matri Mandir, a major center of Bengali culture which also publishes a quarterly Bengali magazine called ‘Sambad‘ is one of the scenic beauties at Safdarjung. There is also a Lakshmi-Narayan Dham and Shivalaya near the main building of Maa Kali.
This temple dedicated to Maa Kali located at Ramakrishna Puram was inaugurated on June 11, 1987. A huge library of 3000 books and a 41-room Dharamshala is run by the temple.
The courtyard of Greater Noida Kalibadi under construction by Shardiya Sanskriti Samiti will be 6,000 square meters. Currently, Maa Kali and Lord Shiva Dham are present in the temple, but after completion, Shri Radha-Krishna Dham will be established in the temple.
Established in 1984, Shri Ganesh Ji is present at the entrance gate of this temple and Shri Hanuman Ji Maharaj himself is present at the second gate. Special worship of Maa Kali is done on every Amavasya in Mayur Vihar Kalibadi.
This temple of Maa Kali near Rohini West Metro Station is adjacent to the famous Shri Ayyappa Temple of Rohini. There is also a digital donation box of Paytm in this temple.
