The Sports Ministry has released the list of names of players and athletes for the sports awards to be given this year. India’s star badminton pair Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will receive the Khel Ratna Award. At the same time, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who took the most wickets in the ODI World Cup, will be given the Arjuna Award.
The Sports Ministry announced the Sports Awards 2023 on 20th December. This time a total of 29 players will be honored with sports awards. Two players will be honored with the Khel Ratna Award and 27 athletes will be honored with the Arjuna Award. All these athletes will be given these awards on the basis of their excellent performance.

It is noteworthy that all these National Sports Awards will be given at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 9 January 2024. All these awards will be presented to the players by the President. A total of 29 players and athletes have been included in the list released by the Sports Ministry.
