A New Startup: Rs. 16000 Paid to UK Man for Standing in Queue Meant for The Rich

A man in the UK has turned queuing into a handsomely rewarding profession. 31-year-old Freddie Beckitt charges £20 on hourly basis to stand in lines for the other people. His clients have a wide range of rich people varying from young people who consider the queues as a waste of time to people in mid-sixties who do not have the energy to stand in the line.

Per day, the profit reaches up to £160 (INR 16000). He sees this money as a prize for his saint-like endurance and patience, barely moving himself for straight 8 hours. According to him, it is best to be in the queue for the people poor in time but rich with their pockets when tickets of highly popular events are being sold, like events at Apollo.

Freddie has even shared that during the winters, he has to spend his nights standing in the line under the wrath of the chilling temperatures in order to get tickets for his young clients who rush off their feet in some soothing restaurant or cafès.

He briefs on an incident where he was supposed to be in the queue for posh people in the mid-sixties for V&As Christian dior exhibition. The actual time in the line was 3 hours but as per the order, he has to collect the ticket and wait for them as well. Thus, he had a good tour of the V&A museum along with getting paid.

Being a resident of Fulham, London, he says that queuing is natural to a Londoner and therefore he made his mind to do so in a professional manner and turned it into a career.
