University of Delhi proposes the plan to start Delhi School of Analytics in days to come

University of Delhi proposes to open DSA

In an aim to jog up the students with the digital change of the world, the University of Delhi plans to start the Delhi School of Analytics, under the in-chargeship of the Institute of Eminence. The work of DSA will be to bring students’ focus in the analytical areas related to economics and finance, law, environmental sciences, and business management. The proposal will most likely be presented on March 25 at an executive council meeting.

Under the DSA, students will be offered long-term and short-term certification, diploma, and degree courses to enable them with analytical skills in business and data analysis. The DSA plans to bring technology-aided learning to the classroom, where students will be given proper preparation and knowledge to handle large and complex data. 

Along with other guided measures, DSA has been proposed to achieve additional objectives. One of them is the aim to build a research platform under DSA that will help students explore new data analysis techniques and the other is, the promotion of entrepreneurship by reaching a common platform to link incubators, sponsors, and mentors.

The students enrolled within DSA will be tasked to undertake projects and research that will aid them with long-term opportunities. The course, itself, will be built with the focus of students developing networks with the domestic and global educational institutes, government agencies, and entrepreneurship platforms. This will allow adequate exposure of students nationally and internationally. The school will also work on various data and application techniques to find the optimal solution to a majority of business analytical problems. 

DSA’s vision is to encourage innovation and the spirit of entrepreneurship in the students studying data sciences, business analytics, and other areas. This will strengthen many start-ups currently present and flourishing in India.

The faculty in DSA will be professors from the University of Delhi, guest faculties, research associates, and post-doctoral fellows. Experienced figures with notable knowledge and contribution in the field of data and business analytics will also be invited as visiting faculty. Eminent experts and scholars may also come forth to impart the knowledge of their notable contributions to the young minds of the country.
