Vistara has been fined ten lakh rupees by the DGCA for allowing an unqualified pilot to land a flight at Indore airport, according to PTI.

According to PTI, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has fined Vistara ten lakh rupees for allowing a poorly qualified pilot to land a flight at Indore airport.
“Vistara was penalized by the DGCA for giving first officers takeoff and landing clearance without undertaking any training.”
The airline has been fined 10 lakh rupees for the breach mentioned above.
During a landing in Indore, it was discovered that the DGCA had informed ANI.
According to the guidelines, the first officer must practice landing the plane on a simulator before doing so on a real aircraft with people on board.
“Before a captain can provide the first officer landing instructions, they must undergo simulator training.”
The first officer was landing the plane without the captain, or the first officer had gone through simulator training.” DGCA was alerted.
According to the DGCA, the conduct was a significant breach since it jeopardized the security of flyers.
“This is a significant infringement that puts the lives of the passengers on board in jeopardy,” the DGCA added.
The airline refused to state the incident in full.
Tata’s Singapore joint venture company, Tata-SIA Airlines Limited, operating as Vistara, is an Indian full-service airline.
The DGCA had already fined SpiceJet Rs.10 lakh for training 737 Max aircraft pilots on a malfunctioning simulator on Monday.
According to a senior DGCA official, during DGCA simulator surveillance at CSTPL Greater Noida on March 30, 2022, an MMI (Missing Malfunction Inoperative Item) for the B737 Max was discovered concerning the stick shaker on the P2 side, which has been inoperative since March 17, 2022.
The DGCA penalized SpiceJet ten lakh on May 30 for training 737 Max aircraft pilots on a faulty simulator.
90 SpiceJet pilots were already barred from operating B737 Max planes by the DGCA.
The pilots were required to be retrained by the regulator.
“SpiceJet’s training might have a negative impact,” it stated.
