Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Uttar Pradesh on Friday to attend the 3rd
‘groundbreaking’ ceremony of the UP Investors Summit in Lucknow. It was to lay the
foundation stone of over 1,400 projects worth more than ₹80,000 crores in the
state.The project incorporated diverse sectors like agriculture and allied, IT and
electronics, MSME, manufacturing, renewable energy, pharma, tourism, defense and
aerospace, handloom and textiles.
Prime Minister Modi said, “We are the fastest-growing nation among other G-20
countries. Our government followed the mantra of reform, perform and transform.
He praised the youth of the state for their abilities of being so cooperative and
understandable when it comes to their state’s development.
Directing the Investor Summit in the state, he said, “The youth of UP has the
ability to give wings to your dreams.”
During the GroundBreaking Ceremony, the Prime Minister laid the foundation
stone for 1,406 projects worth more than Rs 80,000 crores.It was noted that the
first UP Investors Summit was held in 2018 and second in 2019.
The first summit saw the advent of 81 projects worth more than Rs 61,500 crore
while the second one covered 290 projects with investments of over Rs 67,000
crore.
The event also witnessed President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister
Narendra Modi visit Dr BR Ambedkar Bhawan, Paraunkh village. The summit
also behold the State govt as it announced a food processing scheme a few
yrs ago. PM Modi said “For the corporate world, it’s a golden opportunity to
invest in agriculture currently” .
