Online users can view a video of a series of enormous waves crashing into a Hawaiian beach wedding ceremony. The event reportedly happened on Saturday at the Hulihe’e Palace in Kailua-Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii’s west coast, according to the local media site Khon2.
Multiple enormous waves can be seen slamming into the beachside location in a video posted to Instagram. While large, wall-like waves crash through the wedding celebration, the video clip shows the attendees fleeing oppositely.
Dillon and Riley Murphy spoke to the outlet about the incident and assured them that everyone at the reception, including the cake, was safe. Fortunately, there was no food in any of the containers, the couple said, adding that “we were kind of right at the moment where we were going to start moving a couple of things.”
They also disclosed that after cleaning, the party resumed, and the attendees had more fun than ever. Dillon continued by calling the event “wonderful” after all. Nobody seemed to mind that we didn’t have a dance floor because we were all dancing in the mud by the end of the night, which was amazing.
A massive tidal that swelled to 4.87 meters in a related occurrence slammed Mumbai’s Juhu Beach, flooding the businesses and food establishments there. Although the extent of the damage is unknown, it was evident that large, forceful waves impacted the stores.
