Army to hold recruitment rally for Agniveers in Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar Indian Army is offering an opportunity for male candidates of 20 districts of Gujarat and UTs of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, born between 01 October 1999 and 01 April 2005 (both days inclusive), to join as Agniveers in various trades

The online registration process for the rally has already commenced on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in from 05 August 2022 and will go on till 03 September 2022

The recruitment rally will be held at Gujarat University Sports Arena, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad from 15 Oct 2022 to 08 Nov 2022. The Gujarat University Sports Arena in Navrangpura will be the site of the recruitment rally. Anand, Valsad, Tapi, Dangs, Navsari, Sabarkantha, Vadodara, Mehsana, Surat, Banaskantha, Narmada, Mahisagar, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Aravali, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Kheda, Dahod, Panchmahal, and the UTs of Daman, Dadra, and Nagar Haveli.

According to the statement from the recruitment director, Colonel B S Bisht, recruitment will be held for the positions of Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Clerk, Storekeeper (Technical), Agniveer (Technical), and Agniveer Tradesman.

He explained that in accordance with the recruitment guidelines, Sainik Veer Naris and the sons of active-duty or retired officers would receive a 20% bonus on their final exam score as well as height, weight, and chest measurements being relaxed.

The winners of the All India School Games Federation and Khelo India Youth Games will also receive bonus points, he said.

After passing all rounds of testing, young men and women between the ages of 17 and a half and 21 will be qualified for recruitment and will henceforth be referred to as “Agniveers.” They will serve for a brief period of four years without receiving a pension and will be recruited either directly through educational institutions or through recruitment rallies.
