Officials said on Friday that a female Delhi Police constable is believed to have hung herself at her home in the Palam neighbourhood in southwest Delhi.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Manoj C, the female constable who was assigned to the southwest district police control centre was discovered to have hung herself on Thursday night.
At the scene, a suicide note was discovered in which she denied any responsibility for her action. The corpse was moved to the DDU Hospital for autopsy after a crime team was alerted, according to the DCP.
The victim’s family and other relatives travelled from Haryana to Delhi. The body was given to the family for last rites after the postmortem. A criminal procedure code section 174 inquest has been taken up, the police said.
