RRR, a film by SS Rajamouli, was successfully launched in Japan on Friday. The movie outperformed Prabhas’ Saaho on the list of openings for Indian movies in Japan, setting a new record.
Currently in Japan for movie promotion is the RRR team, which also includes Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR. They are travelling with their spouses and families as well. On the internet, there are images and videos of the two celebrities interacting with ecstatic followers. In one video, Jr. NTR met fans who were yelling and crying in a hotel lobby. In another, hotel staff members surprised him with touching writings.
The movie made ¥18 million, or roughly 1.06 crore, according to a report in Sacnilk.com. Saaho, starring Prabhas, set the previous benchmark with a 90 lakh day 1 take. The research also projects a weekend revenue of more than 3.5 crore.
The lineup for the Indian Panorama category for the year 2022 was released by the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Saturday. The event will include the screening of 20 short films and 25 features. RRR is one among them as well.
“Watched RRR. Best excitement of the year! ! ! Even though I know that overly enthusiastic recommendations will have the opposite effect, Rajamouli’s film is set with enthusiasm, so it’s hard to control. There are too many highlights, such as the confrontation of 1 vs. about 10,000 at the beginning, the rope-hanging rescue play, that in the middle and that in the end. Natu is also great.” Another said, “I want everyone who thinks “I’m a little depressed” to watch the Indian movie RRR that will be released today. This tension continues for 3 hours straight. After watching it, tears and smiles will make your face look amazing as you walk out of the theatre.” Japanese fans on twitter.
A fictionalised account of the lives of two liberation fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, directed by SS Rajamouli. Lead parts were played, respectively, by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. Over 1,200 crore were earned by the movie globally.
The movie’s other stars included Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. Fans of RRR were recently dissatisfied to learn that SS Rajamouli’s film was not chosen as India’s official entry for the Oscars in 2023. In contrast, the producers launched their “for your consideration” campaign last week, requesting nominations in as many as 14 categories, including Best Picture (DVV Danayya), Best Director (SS Rajamouli), Best Actor (Jr NTR and Ram Charan), Best Supporting Actor (Ajay Devgn), Best Supporting Actress (Alia Bhatt), and more.
