During a media interview, Hrithik Roshan, who previously collaborated with Saif Ali Khan in the movie Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and is currently waiting for the release of Vikram Vedha alongside him, was questioned about the evolution of Saif as an actor. “I don’t think I have the skills to assess that,” Hrithik Roshan began, “but I know that Saif has always been a genuine performer.” “Always been real,” the star continued. And he has never made an effort to hide who he is. And that was taking place while the other performers aspired to play the role of the hero. I am attempting to own said swag. Everyone aspired to play the hero, but Saif was just himself. So I know from my own experience now that this is the first time in my understanding of 22 years that I felt this pull to safeguard myself.”
Hrithik continued by describing how working with Saif in Vikram Vedha affected and improved his performance “Because I am paired with one of the most authentic actors I have ever seen in our cinema, and because I have been a huge Saif fan for the past ten years, I felt this instinctive pull to be very, very real in this movie. He possesses an uncommon level of serious honesty. So playing opposite of him in this enhanced and improved my performance. I could see the urge to become more genuine than I was experiencing. One small error or one extra effort, and it’s gone.”
On September 30, the Hindi version of the 2017 Tamil neo-noir action thriller Vikram Vedha is scheduled to be released in theatres with Mani Ratnam’s monumental work Ponniyin Selvan. The principal actors in the original rendition were Madhavan and Vijay Setupathi. Radhika Apte and Sobhita Dhulipala are featured in the Hindi version as well. Pushkar-Gayathri, who also handled the directing duties on the first movie, wrote and directed this one.
