Petition Filed Against Ban On Telecast Of Pran Pratistha
The Supreme Court told the Tamil Nadu government that permission cannot be rejected merely on the ground that other communities are living in the area. The bench asked the Tamil Nadu authorities to act as per law and not on any verbal order banning live telecast of special prayers and consecration in all temples across the state.

Also, the Supreme Court has issued notice to Tamil Nadu government and others. However, the Tamil Nadu government told the Supreme Court that there is no such restriction and there is no ban on live telecast of puja, archana, bhajans on the occasion of consecration of Lord Ram in Ayodhya today. This petition is only politically motivated.
