Patanjali Ayurved, a fast-growing consumer goods company, has appointed Amitabh Singh as senior vice president of contemporary commerce and enterprise operations.
Singh came to Patanjali from Dabur, India, where he was the head of enterprise business and was responsible for the company’s activities in contemporary trade and alternative sales channels.
Singh will aim to expand Patanjali Ayurved’s footprint in contemporary trade and other sales channels, including e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, business-to-business, and canteen shops.
Singh has worked for firms such as Jubilant Consumer, Akzo Nobel, Asian Paints, and Walmart for over 25 years. He has worked for Dabur for almost 15 years.
According to financial data business intelligence platform Tofler, Patanjali Ayurved, promoted by Baba Ramdev, recorded a 9 percent growth in FY21 revenue to $9,872 crore. Compared to the previous year, the company’s net profit increased by 14% to 485 crores.
Patanjali sells soaps, dental care brands, face wash, cookies, noodles, cooking oil, honey, and spices, among other things. Ayurvedic mixtures are also available for purchase.
