Ammunition for 30mm guns made in India was delivered to the Indian Navy on Friday.
It was a “milestone,” according to a Navy representative.
“M/s Economic Explosives Ltd, Nagpur, has created the first ever 100% indigenous 30mm HE gun ammunition for the services,” the official declared.
Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral SN Ghormade received the first shipment of ammunition from Satyanarayan Nuwal, CMD of the Solar Group.
The official stated, “It is the first time the services have placed an order with an Indian private business for the delivery of complete rifle ammunition, and the same was accomplished within 12 months.
