Rapid rail is going to start soon in the country. The National Capital Region Transport System has played an important role in bringing the Rapid Rail Trial to its final stage. A slow speed trial of the rapid train was done on Tuesday. It has been captured in pictures through drones. This trial has been done from Duhai depot to near the under-construction Ghaziabad station. In this test, the speed of the train was kept from 5 km to 25 km per hour. During this, the train was taken from Duhai station to Guldhar station for testing the track and traction. Train operator has used manual mode under Train Control Management System (TCMS) while running the train.
The first rapid rail in the country is going to run from the month of March. By June 2025, with the facility of rapid rail, the journey from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Meerut can be completed in 50 minutes. The 17 kilometer stretch from Sahibabad to Duhai to Ghaziabad will see the rapid rail speeding up to 160 km per hour. NCRTC i.e. National Capital Region Transport System, which is preparing this route, has started working very fast in the trial process.
Talking about the look of the train, its look can be very similar to the bullet train. Its speed will be 180 kilometers per hour, but the general public will be able to travel at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour only. Its seats will also be quite comfortable. The total length of the Delhi Meerut Corridor is 82 km, of which 14 km is in Delhi, while 68 km is in Uttar Pradesh.
The journey of Rapid Rail is going to be very comfortable. You will get the facility of Charging Station on the side of the seat. Its seats will be cushioned on the lines of 2/2 which will make your journey very comfortable.
