In the Bhind area of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, two Dalit males allegedly had their heads chopped off.
Santosh and Dharmendra Shakya, the victims, had an argument with one Dilip Sharma around one and a half months prior, according to the police, who claim that the event occurred in Bhind’s Daboha hamlet. Sharma suffered major injuries due to the altercation and filed a complaint against the Shakya brothers, who later received bail.
Sharma’s older brother suggested that the conflict is resolved peacefully. The two brothers were told to pay Sharma 1.5 lakh to fund his medical expenses during a “panchayat” meeting.
However, the police claim that Sharma and his friends also had the two men’s heads shaved, parading through the hamlet.
According to Bhind senior officer Shailendra Singh Chouhan, two persons have been detained, and more investigation is being conducted.
