Internet hails the accomplishment as “amazing” as a fitness class on Nepal’s Mera Peak breaks a world record

A group of climbers who went to Nepal to participate in a 6,000-meter-high fitness class has broken a world record.
Tim Megginson of Body Shape Fitness in the UK ran for 30 minutes while performing push-ups and planks on Mera Peak in Nepal to beat the Guinness World Record of 5,714 meters. According to a Facebook post, the group reached this milestone on October 9 by participating in a session at an elevation of 6,036 meters after nine days of ascent.

"The highest fitness session in the world at 6476m Summit + 2 New Guinness World Records! highest-rated chess match lasting one hour!" Megginson sent a message on Facebook.

The previous record, established on Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro in 2021 by participants in the World's Highest OCR & Altitude OCR, was 18,746.72 feet (5,714 meters), according to Ely Standard. Mr. Megginson aimed to beat that record. A total of 34 people attained this record.

On the other side, Mr. Megginson and eight others smashed the record. He told the magazine that he is now thinking about even more complex undertakings. To discover how far his abilities could carry him, he said, "I would want to explore more severe elevations."

Meanwhile, Mr. Megginson's Facebook post has received close to 400 likes and a few comments. People on the internet praised the crew for breaking the global record.
