Online footage of a skyscraper construction worker hauling a massive metal beam has surfaced.
The brief video, posted on Reddit, shows the man working from a scaffold at an incredible height while calmly holding the enormous steel beam. “To undertake this profession, you must be highly courageous and not frightened of flowers! “the post’s caption stated.
Internet users have been gasping over the terrifying task since the video was published. A different commenter said, “Even if I was paid a million bucks, I don’t think my legs would move, haha, and I would be sobbing 100% of the time. Another person said, “Dude, his entire life depends on one bit of metal on his strap. Full panic attack.”
A third added I’d pass out and be dangling from the rope. The fourth said, “I feel terrible just watching this.”
In a related event, a Canadian construction worker was seen hanging from a crane following an accident. A tagline used to attach cargo to the crane had the worker’s fingers wrapped up in it.
Many witnesses captured the event on video, and happened close to Toronto’s financial sector. Later, according to CBS News, the worker was safely lowered to the ground and was not gravely hurt. According to the outlet, the construction site was the same one where a crane fell onto an adjacent building in July 2020. It is situated downtown at Front Street West and Simcoe Street.
