The term “Yogi model” is often used to describe severe punishment for offenders or the employment of bulldozers to level their homes. Critics claim that the crackdown has been deployed in BJP-ruled states to target Muslim community in particular.
Mr. Bommai said that he had ordered the police to take “necessary steps” about another homicide that occurred last night. This time, masked assailants in Mangaluru killed a Muslim guy by hacking him.
“Every person’s life is significant to us. Everyone is treated equally. In all instances, we want to see strict action, “the Chief Minister remarked.
Asked to elaborate on his remarks about using the “Yogi model,” he added, “I won’t go into detail right now. UP model or Karnataka model, as and when necessary, whatever is necessary within the bounds of the law, we shall perform all acts.”
