Man Dead After Jumping On Delhi Metro Track As Train Enters Station: Cops

Today, at the Tilak Nagar station, a 65-year-old man allegedly died after leaping in front of a moving Delhi Metro train.
According to them, the event was reported around 8:34 am.

The victim was carried to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where a senior police official claimed he was pronounced"brought dead."

The police officer recognized him as Satish Malhotra, a Tilak Nagar resident.

According to his son-in-law, who identified the deceased, Malhotra had a spare parts store in Karol Bagh and was supposedly depressed due to economic losses during the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to authorities, the event caused delays in service on Delhi Metro's Blue Line.

The Blue Line runs from Noida City Center to Dwarka Sector 21 in Delhi, with a branch line running from Yamuna Bank to Vaishali.

To inform commuters of the delay, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) also posted a message on Twitter.
