The Tara Air plane crashed in Nepal's mountainous Mustang district on Sunday with 22 people on board.
The plane took off at 9:55 am from the tourist destination of Pokhara and lost contact with air control about 12 minutes later at 10:07 am.
The crashed plane was found on Monday all 22 people on board including 4 Indians are presumed dead as no survivors are found.
Speaking about the rescue operations, a spokesperson of Tara Air Sudarshan Bartaula told the local media that the bodies were “scattered over a 100-metre radius from the main impact point,” and were in an "unrecognisable condition", reported PTI. Explaining the tragic accident, he said that the plane slammed into the mountain breaking into pieces and the impact had “blown the bodies all over the hill".
A team of 15 Nepali Army soldiers was appointed near the crash site to procure the bodies on Monday. The crash site lies at advancement of about 14,500 feet while the team has been appointed at 11,000 meters in height, the army spokesperson said.
"Fourteen bodies have been recovered so far, search continues for the remaining. The weather is very bad but we were able to take a team to the crash site. No other flight has been possible," civil aviation authority spokesman Deo Chandra Lal Karn told news agency AFP.
