Estimated cost of new Parliament House is Rs 970 crore
Prime Minister Modi is going to inaugurate the new Parliament built at an estimated cost of Rs 970 crore on 26 May. Sources said there is speculation that a meeting of the Speakers of Parliaments of G20 countries may be held in the new building later this year. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet.
The seating arrangement for 1,224 MPs in the four-storey building
Many modern, hi-tech and security arrangements have been made in the new Parliament. For this there will be a new dress for marshals and employees. A total of 1,224 MPs have been arranged to sit in the four-storey Parliament House.

Built in an area of 64,500 square meters, three entry gates have been built in this new parliament building. They have been named Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar. It has separate entrances for MPs, VIPs and visitors. Another attraction in it is the Constitution Hall, which has been built to showcase the country's democratic heritage.

The new building will be decorated with a mix of Indian culture, regional art, craft and architecture. The Central Constitutional Gallery has been given space in the design plan.
