According to the preliminary autopsy report, the 19-year-old lady killed in Uttarakhand drowned. The woman suffered blunt force damage, according to the report.
A prominent BJP leader’s son was detained after public anger over the little girl’s death yesterday. The young woman worked as a receptionist at a Rishikesh resort run by Pulkit Arya, the son of BJP politician Vinod Arya.
He and her family had reported missing her on Monday, but police claimed it eventually came out that he and two staff members had killed her. They two have also been detained.
Locals broke windows during the violent demonstrations in the resort’s neighborhood, and some even tried to set a pickle plant on the resort’s grounds on fire. The fire, however, did not spread much as the weather was cloudy.
