A notice has been issued by the RBI regarding the exchange of Rs 2,000 notes, in which it has been said that the facility of exchanging Rs 2000 notes will be normal. Along with this, proper arrangements should be made for the waiting area and drinking water keeping in view the summer season as instructed by the RBI to the banks.
Banks have also been asked by the central bank to collect daily data of exchange of 2000 notes.
On behalf of RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das, regarding the change of 2000 rupee note, it was said that we have clearly stated in the press note that at the time of demonetization of 2000 note, the currency value of 1000 and 500 rupees in 2016 Was quickly brought in to replace.
Further, the RBI governor said that do not be in a hurry to change the notes. The central bank has given 4 months time to change it. People will have to exchange notes within this time limit. If it is left like this without any time limit then it will become an endless process.
The withdrawal of Rs 2,000 notes was announced by the RBI on 19 May. One can exchange a maximum of Rs 20,000 or 10 notes at a time till 30th September. There will be no need to fill any slip/form or show ID to exchange notes.
