Across the island nation, the properties linked to the ruling party are set ablaze by the people. After a day of violence that saw 3 people including 1 MP dead, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Rajapaksa was forced to resign.
As thousands of protesters breached the main gate as well as torched the truck, shots were
fired from inside the Sri Lankan Prime Minister’s official residence on Monday. It is also
stated that approximately 150 people were wounded on Monday after armed government
supporters attacked peaceful protestors.
