With $100 million in funding, India's 101st unicorn, Edtech Physics Wallah, becomes the country's 101st unicorn

 The edtech, which was founded by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari in 2016, prepares students for competitive engineering and medical admission exams. It specializes in producing and distributing through lectures and sessions on YouTube, as well as through its own Physics Wallah app and website. The company is currently worth $1.1 billion.

Physics Wallah, the newest unicorn, wants to utilize the funds for business expansion, branding, the opening of more offline learning centers, and the introduction of new course options, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

It specializes in producing and distributing through lectures and sessions on YouTube, as well as through its own Physics Wallah app and website.

The co-founder Alakh Pandey was quoted in the Economic Times as saying, “Our commitment remains that every dollar invested in Physics Wallah is for the greater good of learners.”
