The J-K Police recruitment exam has come under scrutiny now that the list of selected applicants has been released after numerous hopefuls accused it of being a scam and unfair.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday ordered an investigation into media claims of possible fraud in the appointment of police sub-inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir. On June 4, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board online announced the Sub-Inspector result for 2022.
The J-K Police recruitment exam has come under scrutiny now that the list of selected applicants has been released, after numerous hopefuls accused it of being a scam and unfair.
“The recruiting of sub-inspectors has been suspended for the previous two to three days because newspapers are publishing reports,” Sinha remarked during a passing out parade of deputy superintendents of police (DySPs) and probationary sub inspectors (PSIs) at the SKP school in Udhampur.
“It will be investigated by a committee led by the extra chief secretary for the home,” he said, adding that the group will provide its findings promptly. Sinha said the recruiting (list) would be canceled if any impropriety was discovered during the investigation.
No finger has been pointed at any other recruit thus far. He added that if individuals are concerned, it is the administration’s responsibility to conduct an unbiased investigation and take appropriate measures. The LG expressed his confidence in the young officers, saying, “I am convinced that these courageous officers would try their best to serve Maa Bharti and protect the prestige of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.”
Some applicants turned to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the way siblings were treated.
