Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was born on 1 November 1973 in Mangalore, Karnataka, her father Krishnaraj Rai is a marine engineer and mother Vrinda Rai is a writer by profession. Aishwarya Rai's early education took place in Hyderabad. After which he came and settled in Mumbai, also Aishwarya did the rest of her studies in Mumbai only. Aishwarya started getting modeling offers while studying. When Aishwarya was in class 9, she got her first modeling offer from Camlin Company, after which she worked in advertisements for big companies like Coke, Pepsi and Fuji. In 1994, Aishwarya won the title of Miss World, after which there was a new turn in her life.
Aishwarya's first film was Iruvar, a Tamil film directed by Mani Ratnam.
