Amit Shah, the union home minister and a prominent member of the BJP, will go to Telangana on Sunday ahead of the state's Munugode byelection. While there, he plans to take part in a number of events, including a sizable rally in the district.
According to the most recent sources, Shah would land in Hyderabad on Sunday morning and then proceed to the Ujjaini Mahakali Temple for darshan. He would next travel to the Munugode assembly constituency at 5 PM and address the public meeting after meeting with state BJP leaders.
The Home Minister will travel back to Hyderabad after the public meeting and attend a meeting at Ramoji Film City, where he is likely to run across media mogul Ch Ramoji Rao. KT Rama Rao, a minister in the state government and the son of Chief Minister Rao, made many jabs at Amit Shah this morning. The BJP asserts that it does not engage in dynasty politics in the first instance.
The people of Telangana want to know from Amit Shah why the Gujarat administration decided to release the 11 rapists of Bilkis Bano, Mr. Rama Rao stated in a separate tweet.
The well-known actor Jr. NTR, the grandson of the late Chief Minister NT Rama Rao and star of the recent film "RRR," is another person Mr. Shah is likely to meet. Jr. NTR ran for the Telugu Desam Party in the 2009 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, which were held prior to the State's bifurcation. Later, he stepped away from politics to concentrate on his acting career.
