Athiya has worked in many Bollywood films, of which Motichoor Chaknachoor is one of her famous films. The actress married Indian cricketer KL Rahul on 23 January 2023. Athiya received the Best Actress award for Best Female Debut.
Actress Athiya Shetty was born on November 5, 1992 in Mumbai, Athiya's father Sunil Shetty is a well-known Bollywood actor and the actress's mother is Mana Shetty, who is a fashion designer. Athiya's initial studies were completed from Mumbai itself, Athiya did her further studies in film production from New York Film Academy. Since childhood, Athiya was inclined towards acting and she wanted to become an actress.
Athiya started her career with the 2015 film Hero. She played the role of Radha Mathur in this film and the film also featured Aditya Pancholi's son Sooraj Pancholi. This was the first film of both of their careers. This film was launched by Salman Khan Film Production, however the film did not fare well at the box office. After this, after a break of 2 years, Athiya was seen in the comedy film Mubarakan with Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. This film proved to be a hit at the box office and Athiya also received praise for her acting. Athiya worked with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film Motichoor Chaknachoor in the year 2018. Apart from acting, Athiya is the brand ambassador of the Indian franchise of Melbourne New York.
