Tuesday, Rishi Sunak, the incoming prime minister of Britain, offered to assist Ukraine in repelling a Russian invasion while also foreseeing tough financial decisions for his administration.
Sunak described it as an “awful conflict that must be seen effectively to its finish” while speaking outside 10 Downing Street.
Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine, congratulated Rishi Sunak on becoming the new prime minister of the United Kingdom and declared that Kyiv was prepared to deepen ties with London, a significant military partner.
“Congratulations to Rishi Sunak on becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom!” Zelensky expressed his optimism for Sunak’s ability to “effectively overcome all the issues plaguing British society and the entire planet today” in a post on social media.
