Loss for the June quarter at Coffee Day Enterprises drops to 18 crore

Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd. revealed that its consolidated net loss for the three months ended June 30, 2022, shrunk to 18 crore.

Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd (CDEL) said in a BSE filing on Friday night that the business recorded a net loss of 117.28 crore during the April-June period the previous year.

In comparison to the same quarter last fiscal year, CDEL's operational revenue increased by more than double to 210.49 crore.

Additionally, CDEL disclosed the outcomes of its subsidiary, Coffee Day Global Ltd, which runs the well-known coffee chain Cafe Coffee Day (CCD).

On the other hand, as of June 30, 2022, there was an outstanding default balance of Rs 200 crore for unlisted debt securities such NCDs (Non-Convertible Debentures) and NCRPS (Non-Convertible Redeemable Preference Shares) and an interest payment default of Rs 48.41 crore on the same.

Its cafe outlets have reduced to 493 from 550 in the April-June quarter of the last fiscal, while the vending machines count has risen to 46,603 from 43,782. 

Compared to the pandemic-affected June quarter of the previous fiscal year, Coffee Day Global's consolidated revenue from operations more than doubled to 189.63 crore in Q1 FY23.
