The CM Dhami has announced a donation of ₹25 lakh to the family of a teen who was killed

The son of a now-expelled BJP leader is accused of killing Ankita Bhandari, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered the authorities to provide her family a financial aid payment of Rs. 25 lakh. According to the office of the chief minister, the government has asked the court to expedite the hearing in order to provide the victim’s family with prompt justice.

“Chief Minister Shri@pushkardhami has directed the officials to give financial assistance of ₹ 25 lakhs to the kin of late Ankita Bhandari. He said that a request has been made to the Hon’ble Court for hearing in the fast track court so that the victim’s family can get speedy justice,” Dhami’s office stated in a Hindi tweet.

He emphasised the need for the guilty parties to get the death penalty and remarked, “We demanded that the culprits be given capital punishment. CM Dhami has also talked about giving full cooperation from the police and administration in the whole matter,” he added.

An apparently used grey Activa and a black Pulsar motorcycle were found by the SIT investigating the murder case. Ankita was shoved by the accused into the Chilla canal while being transported there in the cars, according to a government statement.

The development comes amid criticism over allegations that Pulkit Arya, the primary suspect and the son of expelled BJP politician Vinod Arya, destroyed evidence in the murder case by demolishiing portions of his resort over night. “It seems to me that the proper procedure of a demolition of the so-called illegal resort was not followed in this case. Usually, a show-cause notice is issued before any such exercise is undertaken,” Former Uttarakhand DGP Aloke B Lal told PTI.
