Jagat Prakash Nadda (or JP Nadda) is an Indian politician. Presently he is the National President of Bharatiya Janata Party and MP of Rajya Sabha.
Biography of Jagat Prakash Nadda
JP Nadda, originally from Himachal Pradesh, was born on December 2, 1960 in Patna, the capital of Bihar. His father’s name is Narayan Lal Nadda and mother’s name is Mrs. Krishna Nadda.
Nadda received his early education at St. Xavier’s School, Patna. For higher education he went to Patna College of Patna University, from where he passed BA examination. After this he obtained LLB degree from Himachal Pradesh University.

Political Journey
Nadda joined ABVP since his college days. In 1989, he was elected National Minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and in 1991, he was made the President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
In the year 1993, he became MLA in Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the first time and was elected Leader of Opposition. In the year 1998, he won the elections again and became the Health Minister in the newly formed BJP government. Subsequently, in the year 2012, JP Nadda was elected as Rajya Sabha member.
From 2014 to 2019, he headed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the Government of India. In June 2019, Nadda was elected the National Working President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and in January 2020, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
