Neeraj Chopra is an Indian track and field athlete. He is a javelin throw player. With gold medals at the Olympics, World Athletics Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Championships and Diamond League titles to his name, Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has etched his name in the history books at a very young age.

Neeraj was born on December 24, 1997. He was born in Khandra, a small village in the city of Panipat in the state of Haryana. His father's name is Satish Kumar and his mother's name is Saroj Devi. His father is a farmer and mother is a housewife.
He received his primary education from his hometown itself. Thereafter, he completed his graduation from Dayanand Anglo Vedic College (Chandigarh). Presently, he is also posted as JCO (Subedar) in the Indian Army.
From the age of 11, his inclination went towards 'Javelin Throw'. His first coach was – Jaiveer (Jai Chaudhary). Jai Chaudhary was impressed by Chopra's ability to achieve a 40 meter throw without training. Neeraj's Javelin journey started from here. From here he brought glory to his country by winning many medals in many competitions. Prominent among them are gold medals in Olympics, World Athletics Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Championships and Diamond League.
