BJP spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill took to Twitter to caution voters against what he labeled as “property snatchers”, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah called for the withdrawal of Congress’s financial survey promise from their manifesto in light of Pitroda’s remarks.
Responding to the controversy, the Congress sought to distance itself from Pitroda’s comments, asserting that his views do not necessarily reflect the party’s official stance.
