The tradition of offering broom to Bhole Baba is going on in this temple itself. It is believed that the history of this temple is 119 years old. Devotees have been offering brooms to Bhole Baba here since a long time. This is one of the famous Shiva temples of India.

Devotees see the religious significance of the ritual of offering brooms by linking it to their problems. It is believed that by offering a broom to Bhole Baba, God removes all the sorrows from his life.

Devotees believe that by offering a broom one gets the blessings of Lord Shiva and all obstacles are removed from his life. In Hindu religion, broom is considered a symbol of purity, chastity and cleanliness. When devotees offer a broom in the temple, they pray to God to cleanse them of the evils and sins within them.

How to reach Pataleshwar Mahadev Sambhal Temple?

  • By Train- You can reach here from Bahjoi Railway Station. But for this railway station you have to travel from other cities.
  • Will not be able to get the train. Therefore you should take a ticket for Aligarh Railway Station. From here you can reach via taxi or local transport.
  • By Road- Aligarh is well connected by national highways and state routes. If you are traveling by car or bus, after reaching Aligarh you can go towards Dadri.
