Boat tours for dolphin watching along the Gujarat coast may soon become a reality, thanks to a significant increase in the population of Indian Ocean humpback dolphins. To protect these vulnerable cetaceans, the Gujarat Forest Department is ramping up its conservation efforts. Plans are underway to launch comprehensive conservation campaigns and establish a dedicated taskforce that includes the Coast Guard and local police. Additionally, the Forest Department is focused on educating the local population about dolphin conservation.
