The roles included Shift Incharge, Plant Operator, Supervisor, Mechanical Filter, and Executive, and required qualifications ranging from B.E. in Chemical Engineering to ITI certifications. The walk-in interviews aimed to provide employment opportunities to the large pool of candidates.
However, the sheer number of job seekers far exceeded the capacity of the venues, particularly the hotel where one of the interviews was held. The overcrowding led to a collapse of a railing under the weight of the crowd, injuring a young man and causing damage to nearby vehicles.
