For the T20 World Cup, Sunil Gavaskar names his two finalists

The T20 World Cup is in full swing, with Namibia defeating Sri Lanka and Scotland defeating the West Indies in recent qualifiers. Australia and New Zealand will kick off the Super 12 stage on Saturday. On October 23, Team India will face Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to start their campaign. The team led by Rohit Sharma and co. got off to a winning start in their pregame match on Monday, defeating the reigning champions Australia.

According to former Australia all-rounder Tom Moody and former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, Australia and India have been selected as the two finals.

Before the warm-up match between India and Australia on Monday, Gavaskar remarked on Star Sports, "India, without a doubt. And because I am in Australia, I will say Australia."

Moody said the following about the same: "I'm going to give you the top four. Australia and England would advance from their groups. I believe Pakistan and India would be leading the other group. For the finalists, I have to pick Australia and India."

In a warm-up game on Monday, Team India defeated Australia by six runs after Mohammed Shami held Australia to 10 in the championship. In the championship match, India could claim four wickets, of which Shami took three, and one was a run-out.

In addition to taking a spectacular catch at long-on to eliminate Pat Cummins, Virat Kohli also caught Tim David short of his crease with a stunning direct smash earlier in the game.

On Wednesday at the Gabba in Brisbane, India will play New Zealand in their last match.
