Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli clashed with each other in IPL 2023 match between Lucknow and Bangalore. In fact, there was an argument earlier between Virat Kohli and Lucknow player Naveen-ul-Haq and Kyle Mayers was pacifying Kohli. Then Gambhir came and took Meyers away from Virat. With this he said something and then like in 2013 there was a heated argument between the two players. The players of both the teams intervened and separated Kohli-Gambhir.
Hardly any cricket fan has forgotten the verbal spat between S Sreesanth and Harbhajan in the first season of IPL. Kings XI Punjab fast bowler Sreesanth was slapped by Mumbai Indians player Harbhajan Singh on the field itself. For this he was banned from 11 matches.
In the year 2013, the matter of spot-fixing came to light. After this the teams of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were banned for two years. Delhi Police had also arrested three Rajasthan players S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan in this case. Both these teams did not play in the 9th and 10th seasons of IPL. They were replaced by Gujarat Lions and Pune Supergiants in the 9th and 10th seasons.
In the 2012 IPL, two Pune Warriors players Rahul Sharma and Wayne Parnell were arrested by the Mumbai Police. Both players were caught at a rave party. As per IPL rules, it is illegal to visit any such place during the tournament.
