Arjun Tendulkar is slowly proving his mettle in the ballpark after making his IPL debut. The 23-year-old fast bowler took his maiden IPL wicket in the last over to hand Mumbai Indians (MI) the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He took the last wicket and MI won last night’s match by 14 runs.
Throughout the match, Sachin Tendulkar had all kinds of emotions to watch his son play for MI. During the last over when Arjun was bowling, Sachin looked tense inside the dressing room. When the match was over, he was brimming with pride.
In the post-match interview, Arjun said, “Obviously it was great to get my first IPL wicket. All I had to do was focus on what was at hand, plan and execute. Our plan was just to bowl wide and play long boundaries so that the batsman can hit it on the long side.
Captain Rohit Sharma praised Arjun’s performance in the match. He was impressed by his skill. At the presentation ceremony, he said, “It is very exciting to play with Arjun.
