Border police officers set a new record by performing yoga at a height of 24K feet.

The Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel perform Yoga near Mount Abi Gamin in Uttarakhand.

Mountaineers from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) set a new record for performing yoga at high altitude.

 The team of mountaineers demonstrated yoga at a height of 22,850 feet in snow conditions in a video published by the ITBP official handle ahead of International Yoga Day.

More than 230 mountaineering expeditions have been successfully completed by the ITBP.

On their official Twitter handle they tweeted ” Himveers of ITBP demonstrate Yoga practice ahead of #InternationalDayOfYoga2022 with the theme: ‘#YogaforHumanity’ at an altitude of 22,850 feet in snow conditions in Uttarakhand near Mount Abi Gamin.”

The Zaskar Range’s highest point, Abi Gamin, is located in the middle Himalayas. It is located between the famed Mana and Niti passes on the Indo-Tibetan border, on the watershed of the upper Alaknanda and Dhauli rivers.

Every year on June 21, the International Yoga Day is commemorated to raise awareness about the advantages of yoga around the world.

The Force, which was founded in 1962, began scaling Himalayan summits in the late 1960s, and at times, its fearsome mountaineering teams ascended nine peaks in a single calendar year. It ascended many previously unclimbed Himalayan peaks.In advance of International Yoga Day, the group mountaineers performed yoga at a height of 22,850 feet in snowy circumstances.
